50 years ago, bossa nova took the US by storm! The Arsenal Center pays tribute with an exciting concert of jazz and Brazilian music, led by saxophonist Larry Monroe, vocalist Donna McElroy – Berklee faculty from the center’s American Songbook series - and a thirty-piece orchestra of Boston's finest musicians. Co-producers and music directors Matthew Nicholl and Michael Farquharson lead the orchestra through the great Brazilian songbook, with music both sensual and poignant, from past to present.
