Highland Jazz, based in Newton, Massachusetts, is a non-profit organization dedicated to keeping the art, sound and soul of jazz music alive in New England. Since 1983, Highland Jazz has presented more than 200 concerts spanning the range of mainstream acoustic jazz, including classic standards, Bebop, Swing, Latin and Dixieland.

Directions: DIRECTIONS TO NEWTON SOUTH HIGH SCHOOL, 140 BRANDEIS ROAD, NEWTON CENTRE ROUTE 128 (NORTH OR SOUTH) From Route 128, take Route 9 EAST towards Boston. Go through two sets of traffic lights. 3/10th’s of a mile after the second traffic light you will see a bridge with a ramp off to the RIGHT. Take the ramp and turn RIGHT onto Parker Street heading towards Dedham and West Roxbury. The first street on your LEFT is Hagen Road. Follow Hagen Road through the residential area to the end and turn LEFT again (this is Brandeis Road, but the street sign is missing). Follow Brandeis Road for 1/4 mile and you will see the school on the RIGHT. BOSTON/ROUTE 9: From Boston take Route 9 WEST past the Chestnut Hill Mall, towards the Atrium Mall. Go through the lights and follow down the hill. Ahead, you will see a bridge with a ramp off to the RIGHT. Take Route 128 South to Route 9 EAST towards Boston. (See remaining directions as in first paragraph above.) WESTERN MASS/VIA MASS PIKE: From West Mass/Framingham, take the Mass Pike EAST to the Weston tollbooth. Take Route 128 South to Route 9 EAST towards Boston. (See directions above).
