Singer/songwriter Jane Fallon has won awards from Oklahoma (Woody Guthrie) to Ireland (a Song for Carrick) with her songwriting. When she won the coveted grand prize in the American Songwriter Magazine lyric competition, one fan wrote to tell her “Holy Smokes, Jane. I am a subscriber to American Songwriter and am usually so unimpressed by the selections, but yours is another story. They made my heart glow for some reason. “ Jane’s songs are filled with imagery, detail, and word craft that prompted Nashville songwriting guru Jason Blume to exclaim, “holy crap, there are lines in here I wish I would have written”, and Indie Magazine to dub her “one of the good artists in a sea of soulless clutter.” Boston’s Metronome magazine said, she is the “quintessential folk storyteller. Her poignant prose and beautiful voice engulf the listener with grand tales of vivid imagery and aplomb while combining complex elements of country, folk, and Americana.” With seven CDs of original musc, and two books about songwriting, Jane is “a force to be reckoned with” (Billy Copeland)
